On May 2, 2009, Village Artists launched First Fridays, a monthly opportunity to highlight some of our 25 local artists to the community. Each month, on the first Friday of that month, several artists will be showcased in a public reception from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Join us on Friday, November 6, 2009, and meet Barbie Mathis, an award-winning watercolor artist who specializes in finely detailed florals; Rachel Parker and the realistic cats and other animals she paints as well as landscapes; Lori Starnes Isom who masters the art of portrait and people painting. Light refreshments will be served and the artists will have extra displays for the evening to entice the visitor!
