My first job was as a babysitter in high school and I also became certified for rescue breathing and Heimlich maneuver. In 2003 I began working for Worldwide Adoption Services, which is an adoption service operated in South Carolina. My family is extremely large primarily due to the adoption agency and we are quite "colorful." Through this experience I assisted with childcare in their cultural connection center that taught children about various cultures in the world. I also volunteered for the agency's annual summer camp, "Kamp Kaleidoscope," in which I was a counselor and or instructor. I have also gained real life experience through caring for children in my family, including my two year old brother. I am exceptionally good with children and have even gained experience in an afterschool program known as Youth Empowerment Program facilitated through USC and also in volunteering with children at homeless shelters in the Richland One area.

I would like to find a family that needs ongoing childcare throughout the weekdays. I also work in a restaurant at dinner hours, so a regular position in which I would be required to consistently work at night would not be applicable.
