Work closely with project management team in setting project goals and analyzing the status of projects. Candidate is responsible for insuring the timely creation and maintenance of project schedules and reports. Must be able to integrate construction or Department of Energy “DOE” schedules into a master program schedule and continuously monitor progress with milestones and autonomy as well as develop and implement a monthly earned value analysis report. Create, monitor and maintain multiple schedules using Primavera P3. Aid the team in defining the projects goals, objectives, success factors etc.

Requirement
*4 year degree required

*Must have experience with Primavera (latest version)

*Must have 10+ years experience as a cost engineer/scheduler

*Must understand and utilizes PM processes and philosophies to advise management on project status.

*Actively participants with the project management team assisting in meeting project deadlines.

*Works effectively with internal and external clients.

*Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

*Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and personnel both verbally and written.

*Performs other duties as assigned

The Office of the Federal Public Defender, District of South Carolina, is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Federal Public Defender, based in the Charleston Office, for a one year appointment. Applicants must have at least two years of criminal trial experience, and by local rule, a member of the South Carolina Bar. The Federal Public Defender operates under authority of the Criminal Justice Act, 18 U.S.C. §3006A, to provide defense services in federal criminal cases and related matters in the federal courts.

Applicants should have strong research and writing skills, a thorough knowledge of criminal law, a dedication to work with disadvantaged persons, an ability to articulate positions and demonstrate trial skills, negotiate, a commitment that the job comes first, and an ability to work with others. The position may require travel throughout the district, some overnight travel, out of district training, and irregular work hours.
