Let me tell you alittle about myself...Ill be 21 in about two weeks. I have had lots of experience with children of all ages from preemies up to young teens. I’ve been babysitting about 11 years now and I was also a nanny to a few families over the last 5 years before I moved up to Columbia. Back at home, I’ve volunteered in the nursery and toddler rooms at church, done childrens missions work, VBS volunteer, Middle School youth leader and much more! I love playing with kids and helping them learn new things everyday:) I am CPR & MUSC certified, do know the heimlich maneuver,have taken lots of babysitting & older sister classes and Ive also taken lots of health/nursing classes. I do have experience with special needs children as well. I am a non-smoker and have a very clean home. I do have pets. They love kids but we dont have them around when we are playing or learning!!

Parents must supply the childs diapers/pull-ups/wipes (if needed), at least 1 extra set of clothing and meals/snacks/juice for children under the age of 2. I am DSS registered, CPR and first aid certified. Im also a CNA. I have a full contract and can furnish references from many current and past families. Not only am I fingerprinted and have a clean background check, but so do both my daughters who reside with me. I am currently accepting 3 full time positions and am willing to negotiate part time if needed. I accept children from newborn to kindergarden. My hours of opperation are from 7AM-6PM, Monday through Friday. Weekends if needed due to both my daughters willing to babysitt. I'm extremely flexable and willing to work with parents. I provide breakfast, lunch, and PM snack through the Interfaith Food Program. I provide all food, including baby food except formula, all meals are posted for parents to see and children are offered a variety of fruits and vegetables, and served 100% fruit juices and 2% milk, if whole milk is prefered, it will be provided.
Doing this for many years my house is well equiped with all the right equipment such as baby gates, high chairs, swings, age appropriate toys, movies, music, ect. Also, each child is assigned to their own pack-n-play durring nap time, which I also provide.

I'm trained in first-aid and infant/child CPR (although my certifications are expired) & have years of experience in daycare-centers & Early Childhood classrooms. My group size is limited to a maximum of six (6) children at a time including my own kids, though I prefer to keep it to five. My home is clean w/lots of room for kids to play & sleep.

We have lots of fun at my home reading stories, playing with dolls, Legos & blocks, puzzles, music and dancing and much more. Older children enjoy dramatic play, painting, coloring and other special projects. Babies are given lots of room to explore on their own in a safe & supervised environment. I have many educational toys for a wide variety of age groups. When the weather allows, we love to spend time outside on the deck or on the swing set in my private back yard. Sometimes we even picnic in the yard! I do not believe in planting children in front of the television & so TV time for the kids is limited, especially for babies. IN MY HOME, I DO NOT CRIB SHARE nor do I prop bottles! Each child also has his or her own high chair/booster to eat in so that the spread of germs is minimized.

I have excellent references available to you when you come for an interview. My home is located in Blythewood and is near Bethel-Hanberry Elementary and Oakhurst. I'm just about 5 minutes off of exit 27 on Route 77. It is also convenient to Round Top and Sandlapper Elementary, Blythewood MS & HS, Ashley Oaks, Ridgeway and only 15-20 min from the Lake Carolina/Summit area. For safety reasons, I cannot give you the exact address unless you call and speak to me first.

I can accept children age 2 months-three years old. Your child can start any time once we meet in person; your spot will be held once I receive your deposit. I like children to stay on long term, hopefully for at least six months to a year. I'm looking to build relationships with "my" kids and their families, not just to get some money from people. It is very hard to let go of children because I get really attached really quickly so finding the right families for my daycare is important to me.

Full time or part time is available for all ages, including infants.
