Loving Female Bullmastiff in Need of Foster Home (Lexington SC)

Emma is feeling confused and displaced after being uprooted from her home where she had been since she was 8 weeks old. Due to a new baby, her owners no longer wanted to care for her. Please, if you can help by spreading the word about Emma or even offering her a spot in your home until she finds her FOREVER family.... It wouldn't cost you a thing to foster her except your love and time. The rescue group can even reimburse you for food should you need it. All her vet bills are taken care of already and she just needs a lap to lay her head in until she finds her new permanent family. ** You would need to have a large crate. Emma is 90 lbs.

If you can foster Emma, please fill out the volunteer form on the American Bullmastiff Association's website @ http://www.bullmastiff.us/rescue/index.html

Emma is a 2 ½ year old purebred brindle bullmastiff who was surrendered to the American Bullmastiff Association on 10-30-09 due to her family not being able to care for her any longer. Emma is a great girl. She is housebroken, crate trained, walks great on a leash, and knows how to sit and shake. Emma is spayed, completely vetted and ready to go to her forever home!

The ideal home for Emma would be a home where the family is familiar with large breeds and there are no other female dogs. A large male is fine, but Emma needs to be the only female. Cats are ok. Also, due to her size, no children under 5. If you would like to find out more about adopting Emma, please submit an application on the American Bullmastiff Association’s website ** THE ADOPTION FEE IS $350

I am a young south carolina documentarian looking for a project. I was secluding myself to the Upstate area, but now I need to branch out because I can not find a suitable project to work on.

I am well aware that most documentaries are created because the film maker has a strong conviction that he/she wants to communicate to the world. I have plenty of strong convictions, but shooting those kinds of documentaries would require a larger budget than I can afford. I am going to start out small and work my way up to bigger and better things.

That being the case, I am looking for someone who has a fantastic story or idea that they would be interested into turning into a documentary. I have friends at USC who can help me and possibly supply some equipment and manpower, I just need a great idea and someone who has strong feelings about a local issue. If you feel like you have a story to tell me, please feel free to email me. I am open to pretty much anything. It doesn't even have to be political, I have considered the possibilities of doing a documentary on any number of things like music, wildlife, etc.
I am just looking for a real project.

Balance is a condition inherent in nature, but balance is hard to achieve in everyday life.
Occasional lack of sleep can affect your overall well-being. But if you frequently wake up in the
morning, after a night of fitful or disturbed sleep, with widespread muscle pain that lasts through
the day, you could have a condition called Fibromyalgia.
We are conducting a research study of an investigational medication for the sleep difficulties
associated with Fibromyalgia. You may qualify for this study if:
• You are 18 years of age or older
• Maintain a normal daytime/awake, nighttime/asleep schedule, including 6½ to 8 hours in bed at night
• Have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, or regularly experience the symptoms associated with the
condition, including muscle pain, stiffness, headache and fatigue
• Have experienced difficulty sleeping for least three days out of the week
Qualified participants will receive study medication and all
study-related tests at no cost and may be compensated for
time and travel.
For more information,
please contact:

SHUT DOWN THE STREETS!! November 6 & 7 Columbia will be shutting down the streets to make the community aware of our homeless! On November 6 there will be a sleep out on the corner of Main and Calhoun where anyone in the community is able to experience being homeless for one night. On November 7, the community will have a block party for all area homeless and are asking everyone in the community who wants to attend or help out please do so!

Healing Properties, Inc. which works with disabled homeless and placing them in permanent housing is collecting socks to hand out to all the area homeless! Along with socks we are collecting hats, gloves, scarves, and book bags!

We understand with the tough economy things are hard for everyone, but once a year we want to help our homeless with new white socks and other items to help keep everyone warm during the frigid winter nights! These items can be purchased from anywhere (walmart, kmart, dollar stores, and flea markets)!

Please join us in collecting socks even if you can only donate one bag, every little bit helps!
