I gave $200 for this old electric box kiln. Going to the dump on Wednesday May 15 if no one wants it.
I fired her once as an electric, then converted it to a propane/weed-burner updraft with an internal chimney, a side-entry for the burner. A course of hard and soft brick to expand the kiln vertically. The lid was rigged on a cantilever under our backyard metal shelter. I'll throw in some soft firebrick, which I use to build up a seven inch chimney so it will draw; and two weed-burners. I have some kiln furniture that I can sell: like three shelves and nine posts for $50 bucks. I have a new kiln so I'm retiring this one. This will make a fine raku or low-fire kiln, and with some experimentation can do high-fire as well (I've had it up to almost ∆10).
I guess there is 2.6 cubic feet interior space in this little kiln.
I have a dolly and can help you slide this into your pickup truck.
Dimensions shown are approximate interior dimensions, not deducting for the flu in that takes up some corner space.
