I have my 57cm/22.5" Trek 7100 for sale, upgraded to a disk brake bike so have no need for this. It was my baby and my old faithful for a few years. I replaced the freewheel, chain, and brake pads recently and have only ridden it a handful of times since. It has fairly new 700x32 tires as well. A year and a half ago I replaced the entire drivechain which made it feel like a new bike all over again. The frame is good for people around 5'11" to 6'4" tall (I'm 6'2")
What is the drivetrain? The ‘drivetrain’ of the bike consists of all the bits that you use to push (or pull) the bike along. The key components are the pedals, cranks, chainrings, chain, cogs (cassette or in this case freewheel) and derailleur.
I've taken good care of it having worked in a bike shop myself. The gears shift fine, the kickstand is secure, and the tires are full. The wheel hubs have been oiled and the wheels have been trued. The only work that is needed is that the cables and housing need replaced if you really wanted this perfectly optimized.
Otherwise, it's safe to ride and its very very fast! Light as well. This is the perfect bike for a commuter who doesn't care about how the bike looks (which also means less chance of getting stolen!) and wants to get around town fast, but is on a hard budget. This bike was $450 new so I think my price is fair.
It's essentially an FX, but with the Verve style handlebar for more relaxed seating position. The suspension has long "frozen" over so basically rigid.
