Grown for its stunning variegated foliage and brilliant red flowers, this heritage hibiscus cultivar is making a comeback. Hibiscus ‘Cooperii’ creates a fancy showpiece in the garden with its brilliantly colored leaves in shades of burgundy red, pink, white and green. Grow in full sunlight for maximum color intensity. If grown in the shade or the lower light level in winter the foliage turns green but it will return to vibrant colors once it’s given full sunlight. Hibiscus ‘Cooperii’ makes a fancy standard or grow it where a vibrant color statement is needed.
Makes a nice container plant.
1/2 gallon pot size or 2-4in pot sizes.
