I have 4 month old pet quality bearded silkie roosters in need of new homes as I don't have enough hens. All my silkies are from the same breeder, they keep pure bred silkies in a mixed colored flock. It has caused some strangely beautiful colors to appear and if I had enough hens for them then I would keep these guys. They all have 5 toes, turquoise earlobes, walnut combs and black skin like all purebred silkies.
First Quil, named so as he looks like a porcupine with jewel toned earlobes. He is a birch silkie with green, red and cream wing tips. Second is Sultan, my silver Columbian silkie as he is white with black trim through his tail, wing tips, hackles and feet feathers.. then there are my splash silkie twins. I can only tell them apart as one is solid blue splash while the other has blond leakage around his neck causing a beautiful highlight effect. I'm showing 4 pictures of each rooster in the order I mentioned them with 2 close ups on the twin splashes necks. First neck shot is the solid blue splash and second neck shot is actually the first photo of the 2nd splash with blond highlights so u can see the difference between them.
Again, only 4 months old, all born the last week of September 2025. They are still growing and learning as silkies don't fully mature till around 8 months of age. Ive learned through my first batch that the males head crest doesn't start to fill out better untill full maturity. They need a better home as I'm currently keeping them in a make shift pen to protect them from my 8 month old roosters as I keep failing to integrate them. Hoping by cutting the male numbers in half I'll have better luck.
