All Smiles Dental is a dental office focused on treating the family, with emphasis on patient comfort, aesthetics and overall health and well-being.
Our growing company is seeking a highly motivated and positive individual with great organizational and communication skills to join our team at the Front Desk.

Description
The primary responsibility of this highly motivated and positive individual is to verify and process insurance plans for patients and provide in depth support for all insurance related duties of the office.
Secondary responsibilities include consulting with patients and answering questions related to planning treatment and payment options while focusing on treatment acceptance from patients.

Key Tasks

Greeting patients, answering telephones, scheduling, and confirming appointments

Entering patient information into the office system

Insurance verification, assist new patients in filling out the registration form

Collect and post payments including credit card transactions

Electronically submit/prepare insurance claims

Educate and discuss the treatment plan with the patient after diagnosed and reviewed by the clinical staff

Present treatment plans and giving estimates of treatment costs in an effective manner

Coordination and processing of insurance payments and troubleshoots and issues related to these payments

Ensures coordination of benefits are accurate and considered as part of the financial planning

Ongoing communications with insurance carriers

Ensures all insurance related duties are completed in a timely manner

Assists front office team members with appropriate payment and insurance processes

Explain, promote and adhere to company payment policies and procedures

Submit, track and follow-up on prior authorizations

Obtain high treatment acceptance by explaining cost of treatment, insurance coverage and finance options

Solicit referrals from patients post operatively while at the same time tracking patient satisfaction with work provided

Characteristics

- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and courteous manner
- Willing to effectively participate as a team member with the office personnel
- Committed to the protection of confidential information, records and/or reports
- Good organizational skills

Requirements

- 2 years of similar work experience required.
- Strong telephone, communication and time management skills
- Experience using computers and MS Office or similar
- Understanding of insurance procedures and claims
- An eagerness to learn on the job
- Must be a self-motivate person with a great attitude and attention to detail
